- As you guys know by now Escom are indeed going to sell the Amiga. No need
- for panic, as Escom essentially assured a smooth sell by having AT
- autonomous of Escom as a company. Escom were essentially nothing more than
- a kind uncle with money. The real worry is whether the development
- program, namely PPC is still going to be online. One of the first things I
- was told is that Viscorp just want the Amiga technology for settops.
-
- Well, the idea is that the Amiga hardware and OS filters into their set
- tops, but their needs to be a platform to enable that. Anyway, one of mu
- fellow Compuserve nuts posted a message to Carl Saasenrath, who is
- Director of Software at Vis Corp and below is the reply. It says nothing
- tangible other than give hope, but since he is the guy who mostly wrote
- the Amiga Exec, I think you will agree, that he deserves a hearing.
